Endorsement from Ron Weese, Councillor of Ward One

I am honored to have received an endorsement from councillor Ron Weese. Read his full statement below:

"I am proud to recommend Angela Daust as a candidate in the 2026 Municipal Election

in Aurora’s Ward 2.

I know Angela as an astute and engaged resident who has participated in local

Committees; providing her knowledge, skill and expertise as a volunteer. Her 30 years

as a resident in Aurora gives her an important historical perspective; one she has used

to advocate for the preservation of the natural and built-form heritage in Aurora. She is

always prepared for and unafraid to tackle challenges. More importantly, she values

honesty and integrity and lives it each day.

As a Ward 2 resident for so many years, she has an understanding of local issues such

as community safety and ‘considerate’ development in the face of rising pressures for

higher density. She will represent the Ward well and consistently.

At Council, her education and municipal experience will advance the need for

accountability and transparency. Her years of municipal policy development, risk

mitigation and public engagement has prepared her well for serving her Ward and the

wider Community. Her support of local democratic governance and fiscal responsibility

is well-known.

Recently retired, she brings a briefcase full of experience and a commitment of her time

each day that will benefit all of Aurora, not just Ward 2.

It is time for Ward 2 residents to learn about her campaign, her background and her

commitment to Aurora and elect her to guide our community forward.
