Transparency
I believe in council transparency, accountability, and public engagement. All of council should be able to answer the hard questions. We should not
hide when uncomfortable questions are asked.
Reasonable taxes and rates
Municipal overspending needs to be addressed in order to build a strong reserve level. We need to be prepared for future costs without needing to raise rates.
I am focused on making Aurora town council more transparent and democratic while acting as your personal advocate.
My Core Commitments
Democratic Governance
I believe that every member of a municipal council should have a voice. Your vote for your councilor should matter and they should carry forward the neighborhood's concerns to council.
Community Safety
Decisions made by council need to ensure that long term residents are not adversely affected by new development, but also that new residents will find a place in Aurora and feel welcomed into their new neighbourhoods.
Nature and Infrastructure Resilience
Aurora is a unique town blessed with many natural areas. We must preserve our town's natural canopies, trails and streams while building infrastructure for the future.
Sustainable Growth
I believe in the need for considerate growth in housing, intensification, commercial
development and industrial expansion. These projects are imperative to grow Aurora, but there needs to be regulation around what we build
